Karen Dalton – In My Own Time
Posted on | March 1, 2009 | No Comments
Karen Dalton is a great heartbreak legend – a musician who graced us with the awesome power of their soul through their music, and felt all too deeply, her own trouble in mind. Sadly, the story goes that Karen died homeless and broken on the streets, abandoned in the despair of a gentle, feeling soul in a world gone hard. A darling of the Greenwich Village folk scene of the early 60s, Karen’s available recordings are few yet amazing. She plays her voice like a horn, and pours herself into the tunes she interprets.
In My Own Time is a great place to start if you’re interested in learning more about this unique treasure.
