The Go! Team – Proof of Youth

Imagine a mashup of guitar feedback, rock and pop, early hip-hop samples, hand-claps and “turn this mother out” style. Now, bring in Kurtis Blow and Salt ‘n’ Pepa to orchestrate a cheerleading, pep club type vocal thing, lay it over with the bells and horns of 50s pop, a re-imagining of the score to a CHiPs action scene and throw in some sounds, samples and vocal rhythms that even Z-Trip would smile at and you have Proof of Youth.
What could be a train wreck of overkill actually comes off as a super high-energy, poppy little piece of greatness. If you fancy a bit of fun and genre-bending in your music, and have a taste for a bit of noise, check out The Go! Team. Then you too can rock the house.
