desecrate: to violate that which is considered sacred; to profane
obtuse: dull or ignorant; lacking understanding
scintillate: to be witty; to sparkle
coterie: a close circle of friends
garish: overly ornate; gaudy
loquacious: talkative
nebulous: hazy or indistinct; vague or confused
