The Paper Art of Peter Callesen

The sculptures of Danish artist Peter Callesen challenge us to think twice about paper. The everyday medium is so familiar that we “rarely notice the materiality of it” yet through its transformation, Callesen has created situations and characters that are thoughtful, intricate, beautiful and tragic.
