I picked up some new words this week thanks to an informative site called WordSpy. Here are some of my favorites:

yarn bombing: n. The surreptitious or unauthorized placement of knitted objects on statues, posts, and other public structures.

eco-bling: n. Ineffective green technology, particular equipment added on to an existing building that does little to reduce the building’s use of natural resources.

retrosexual: n. A man with an undeveloped aesthetic sense who spends as little time and money as possible on his appearance and lifestyle.

robocall: n. An automated phone call that plays a recorded message.

mommy card: n. A calling card that includes a mother’s name and contact information.

type T personality: n. A personality type that regularly seeks out thrilling or dangerous experiences.

nontroversy: n. A false or non-existent controversy.

social network fatigue: n. Mental exhaustion and stress caused by creating and maintaining an excessive number of accounts on social networking sites.
