The Fine Art of Folding Money
Posted on | May 6, 2010 | No Comments
A dollar bill doesn’t stretch very far these days. You can’t even get a cup of tea with it anymore. In the hands of Won Park however, one dollar becomes infinitely more valuable and interesting.
The Honolulu-based paper folder extraordinaire can bend, tweak and wrap dollar bills into unexpected shapes and dimensions, creating everything from animals and spacecraft, to miniature clothing and toilets.
I can make those little folded fortune tellers that were popular in junior high, but that’s where my origami (I use the term very loosely) skills begin and end. I really should learn how to make at least one thing, don’t you think? What about the cranes? Who can teach me how to make the cranes?
