The Sand Art of Jim Denevan

Consider the sand-art bar raised.
Geometrical drawings are tricky to get just right. With all those lines and relationships and angles, I usually misjudge the space and end up with something that looks more microbial than mathematical; and I have the luxury of an eraser.
How Jim Denevan works with precision on such an enormous scale is beyond me, but he does. Then his creations are offered up to the elements; another lesson in the impermanence of all things.
