BLU Takes on Toxic Waste
Posted on | June 8, 2010 | No Comments
Concerned about the toxic waste that is being trucked into southern Italy, street artist BLU created an amazing (and horrifying) piece that illustrates the beauty of the Italian olive groves and ceramic work while revealing the truth of what’s going on behind the beauty; that the area is being used as a toxic drop-off, with enormous holes being dug and hazardous waste from all over the place being transported to the area to be buried.
Read BLU’s thoughts on the situation and the piece in this blog post.
