Declaration of Human Rights

Reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is always inspiring, yet a little saddening, knowing that there are so many people in the world who live without the most basic of these rights.

I just checked the Wikipedia entry for the declaration and there is an enormous amount of information about its creation, structure and significance, as well as praise and criticism about some of the phrases and ideas. It also breaks down the preamble and articles if you really want to delve into it.

In the meantime, here’s a really well-done kinetic type video celebrating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
