“As an album it’s pretty cheesy, but as a piece of historical significance, it’s huge.”
“Daddy, I don’t like this music. These people are weird.”
“OK buddy.”
“I went through a Guns ‘n’ Roses phase.”
“Oh yeah? How long did it last?”
“It never really ended.”
“Oh dude. The only time I’ve ever been escorted out of a bar was with those guys. You are in good company.”
“How much do you love NPR?”
“I do love NPR. I’m not sure I could quantify it though. I’m not very good at math.”
“What is going on with my arm? If I’m dying, this sucks.”
“You know what’s weird? Dogs universally love to stick their heads out the car window, yet hate it when you blow in their face.”
“Caffeine makes me feel like a winner. A stone-cold winner.”
“Dude, that’s the Waterworld of records; one bad decision after another.”
“The thing is, we’re not necessarily right, we’re just opinionated.”
This Overheard at the Record Store is dedicated to Anna, who has been the source of innumerable witty and hilarious quotes. We’ll miss you girl. Don’t forget to write.
