Overheard at the Record Store-19

Posted on | April 16, 2011 | 2 Comments

In honor of Record Store Day 2011, may I present another round of Overheard at the Record Store. It’s not always fun, but it’s always interesting. Go out and support your local, independent record store!

“Just because something is rare doesn’t mean it’s worth anything. There’s a lot of rare crap out there.”

“I hate this. What is it?”

“Ooh. My pants are too tight for this dance.”

“Is it me or does T. Rex sound exactly like Devendra Banhart?”
“Just walk away, dude.”

“This is my jam!”
“No, you have to share this one with us.”

“Listening to Mozart is like hanging around with beautiful women. After that, you can’t do anything else.”

“Dude, compared to them, this place is a well-oiled machine.”
“What?”
“I know.”

“A woman just asked me if Pink Floyd was ever a popular band.”

“Is this Stryper? This is the worst!”
“And in that same way it is also the best.”
“Yes.”

“Daddy, this store creeps me out.”

BONUS FACEBOOK THREAD
“What do you think is more debilitating…reggaemylitis or Baudizm?”
“Definitely Bjorkitis.”
“I know a lot of singers stricken with acute ChanMarshallistic syndrome. It’s becoming an epidemic.”
“I & I think Reggaemylitis.”
“I dunno. Baduizm had Common wearing crocheted pants for a while. I wasn’t sure he was gonna live through it.”

Happy Record Store Day!

Ha! Yep, life among the records is a strange place, indeed. The Overheard archives are always good for a cheap laugh.
