Gillian, David, Letterpress and Coffee
Posted on | July 14, 2011 | 1 Comment

As if they are not ground-breakingly cool enough as it is, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings raised the bar on their latest release, The Harrow & the Harvest by having the covers letterpressed on 100% cotton paper that is so thick that it has to be inserted into the jewel cases by hand; just another way that this duo has “sort of debunked everything mechanized.”
If you want to make your own coffee-stained art, Gillian and David show how it’s done.
And, if you’re new to the unfathomably brilliant, talented, visionary and humblingly down-home world of Gillian and David, this is a good place to start.
